Can anyone find me a list of Local Government Areas in Australia?
The best I can find is the mystery Appendix F.
While that's a good start, and annual reports from there on in only include changes, I can't seem to find a list of postcodes / suburbs those local government areas contain.

Try this Local Government Website. They list the South Australian Council areas, and if you click on them, they then list "Suburbs Localities".

That's pretty neat, and I did come across similar (ie, for QLD); but writing a screenscraper for each different state is a little bit out of my scope.
I want it nationally :(
Unfortunately there isnt one. Each state has control over their own local governments. I have the local government website for each state, but thats all. Sorry I couldnt be of more help!
